When using Cloudflare as the DNS provider, there are a few settings that you need to configure.
- When setting up a proxy, ServerlessIP contacts Let’s Encrypt to get a certificate for the domain. During the process, there will be a small time frame where a self signed certificate will be used to validate the domain. Once Let’s Encrypt has issued the certificate, it will be automatically updated to use the new certificate.
- Cloudflare will not allow to use a self-signed certificate. It will block the request prventing Let’s Encrypt from validating the domain and issuing the certificate.
- To avoid this and to make sure Let’s Encrypt can validate the domain, disable the Orange cloud and Cloudflare will act as a normal DNS provider.
- Once the certificate is issued and (you can verify it from the browser), you can enable the Orange cloud again.
